OUR RATES AND TARIFFS

PAYMENTS

Final payment is due 45 days prior to arrival - 100% of the reservation value is due if no deposit was paid, or balance of 80% of the total reservation value when a deposit has been paid.

All deposits and full payments are held in a separate call account and do not become part of the operational cash flow until the guest has stayed. The amount stated on the invoice is what must be received by Baobab Ridge nett of ALL bank charges / credit card fees. (R250 surcharge for international bank transfers or 3% surcharge for credit card payments – only MasterCard and Visa cards accepted)

CANCELLATION POLICY

(Please ensure that you have adequate cancellation insurance to cover the below!)

Cancellations must be received and acknowledged by Baobab Ridge in writing.

‘Confirmed without deposit: bookings carry no cancellation fees up to 46 days prior to arrival. ‘Confirmed with deposit’ OR ‘confirmed with full-payment’: In the event of any reservation being cancelled after Baobab Ridge has issued a confirmation, for any reason other than a WHO-recognised pandemic that impacts the booking, the following cancellation fees will apply:

• 0-7 days prior to arrival- No refund & No option to postpone (Postponements only an option in the case of a WHO recognised pandemic!)
• 0-14 days prior to arrival – 0% refund
• 15-29 days prior to arrival – 20% refund (minus 20% deposit and handling fee)
• 30-45 days prior to arrival – 50% refund (minus 20% deposit and handling fee)
• 46 or more days prior to arrival – 100% refund (minus 20% deposit and handling fee)

When booking 5 or 6 rooms on the 1 booking (not exclusive use)

• 20% non-refundable deposit required on confirmation and balance of payment 45 days prior to arrival
• Above cancellation fees apply

When booking the lodge exclusively,:

• 25% non-refundable deposit required on confirmation and balance of payment 60 days prior to arrival
• 100% if cancelled 1 - 60 days prior to date of arrival

All travellers are advised to take out fully comprehensive travel insurance with ‘cancellation for no reason’. This insurance must be able to fully cover cancellation of travel fewer than 45 days prior to arrival.

PANDEMIC DISCLAIMER

Baobab Ridge will allow postponement of a booking for up to 12 months from original travel date, if travel is cancelled with a deposit or 8-45 days prior to arrival due to a WHO-recognised and sanctioned decision, directly impacting the guests’ ability to travel (e.g. lockdown, no flights, guest not allowed to board a flight, guest falls ill due to a pandemic and unable to travel). No further extension of travel date will be allowed, and no refund of any funds will be given, if travel is not taken by the extended travel date for any reason. In the event of a WHO-recognised and sanctioned decision, directly impacting the ability of Baobab Ridge to meet its obligations with respect to the booking, all monies received, including the deposit, will be fully refunded (e.g. lockdown in RSA, government restrictions on trade). Any refund is given at the discretion of Baobab Ridge management. Refunds will only be paid after original date of travel, should the above still apply for those dates.

ROAD TRANSFERS

Road transfers in conjunction with a stay at Baobab Ridge can be arranged. Baobab Ridge transfers from/to Hoedspruit's Eastgate Airport are charged for at R715.00  (2025) per person, per transfer (min. 2 pax). Please ask for rates for single travellers and more than two guests travelling together.
